The Ascension is the largest and most ambitious production by Agam to date. Based on Marivere Gathi in rāga Anandabhairavi, originally composed by Shyama Shastri (1762–1827) and set to Mishra Chāpu tāla (a 7-beat cycle), the piece reimagines the Carnatic classic on a grand orchestral canvas.
