My degree keeps me busy, so these videos are rarer than I'd like them to be. But it's good to be back in the saddle. This one brings back memories of when I first started this channel and fretted over its fate. You know, its failure might have doomed us all... or not. You decide. But enough reminiscing. Today's pick: Schumann. My roommate, an excellent violinist, claims that Capuçon deserves more recognition, overshadowed by his brother Gautier. I nod in agreement because frankly I know very little about violin politics. But what's important is this: Capuçon's performance here outshines the other recordings I listened to. I'm a fan.
