Off the Cuff: Buffy S1E8 - I Robot, You Jane
Hello again Fellow Watchers. This time I give an overview of Season 1 Episode 8: I Robot, You Jane. It's not a good episode, but I love Giles' speech about the tactility of books versus the sterile nothingness of digital technologies. Other than that, it's a misstep of an episode that fails to be an interesting look into the dangers of an all-knowing entity controlling the internets. Instead, it's just a "Creature Feature" that doesn't achieve any semblance of greatness. This being a show that doesn't NEED to delve into the dangers of real-world internet technology, I don't knock points off for failing to merely tiptoe across that theme to instead focus on the evil demon-causing chaos!
