WWII Video "Return of the Fighting Lady"

This footage was taken by LT Maury Proctor of Air Group 88 aboard the USS Yorktown (CV-10) during WWII. Copies of the film were later given to members of VF-88 during a reunion. One of the reunion attendees, Bill Watkinson donated his copy to the Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum. That copy has been digitized and posted here on YouTube. The USS Yorktown is now a museum ship at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum on Charleston Harbor, S.C. The museum is also home of the USS Laffey DD-724 and USS Clamagore SS-343. WWII veteran and member of VF-88, Bill Watkinson donated his copy of the "Return of the Fighting Lady" to the museum. Patriots Point is located at 40 Patriots Point Rd. in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
