Selkie Stories- The Seal King - The Selkie Wife
Today on Badger Horns I make some Selkie-themed art and tell some stories. The main takeaway of this episode is "Leave seals alone" but to find out why you'll have to lend me your ear. The Selkie stories in this episode are adaptations of traditional folk tales but are heavily influenced by "The People of the Sea", David Thompson's zoological, folklorical travel memoir. It's one of my favourite books and is well worth a read.
