Pendaki Ilegal Semeru Jatuh ke Jurang Sedalam 375 Meter

MALANG, KOMPAS.TV - A climber fell while climbing Mount Semeru via an illegal route. After a five-day search, the victim was safely recovered by the SAR team. Cakra, a climber who had been reported missing while climbing Mount Semeru, was finally found by the SAR team. Cakra was found after falling into a 375-meter-deep ravine. Although he was found, he could not be immediately recovered. The team had to use a rope system to lift him from the bottom of the ravine. The extraction process was carried out in shifts and required caution due to the steep and rugged terrain. The victim was then carried on a stretcher to a post for a medical examination. Cakra and two other climbers were known to have climbed Mount Semeru last Saturday via an illegal route without a guide. Despite warnings from area rangers, the three continued climbing. The following day, one of the victim's friends reported that the victim had fallen.
