Mozart: Variaciones en Sol mayor sobre "Mio caro Adone" | Judith Jáuregui

Complementing the complete Mozart piano sonatas, this cycle featured various keyboard works. Variations were, perhaps, the most popular of all pianistic genres. Mozart composed these six variations on an aria from La fiera di Venezia (1773), an opera by Antonio Salieri, which was famous at the time in the streets of Vienna. Each variation develops one aspect of the original melody (its contour, rhythm, harmony) although in such a way that the original material can always be recognised.
