Island Peak (Imja Tse) – 6189M is located in the Everest region between Chukung glacier and Mount Ama Dablam. Island Peak is one of the most popular trekking Peaks in Nepal. Eric Shipton (a British Mountaineer) named Island Peak in 1951, as it seemed like an Island in the Sea of Ice from Dingboche. This Peak is also called Imja Tes, but Island Peak is widely famous. How difficult is it to climb? Island Peak is famous among climbers entering the mountaineering world, making it suitable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced-level climbers. It is not considered a technically difficult Peak to climb. It doesn’t require any Oxygen cylinder to carry. If you are prepared with proper mountaineering gear and a fixed rope, then you are good to go. But the most important thing is your mental preparation; if you haven’t presented yourself with a strong mindset, then you might find it more difficult than you think. Itinerary only for Island Peak.
