Today I was drying out the garage after the flood, and at the same time I showed how the area around Gagarin Square and Stroiteley Street in Orsk is doing after the flood. There are very few places in the city where water flows from the tap; the entire Novy Gorod and the OZTP have been without water for 10-14 days. There is no water even at night, can you imagine? The municipality is not responsible for the water utility – our water utility is in Moscow’s hands (it was handed over to them a long time ago – in the hope that things would get better... The story of why and who handed it over is taboo). People would be happy to throw their garbage in bins/containers, but there aren’t any, or they are overflowing. I didn’t see a single container in the yards of those affected by the flood. The regional operator (for the region), OOO Priroda, is responsible for garbage removal here... Everything is also in private hands – the city has been turned into a dumpster – and the local authorities can’t do anything, because they have a contract with OOO Priroda.
