Pure point overnighter hike-solo!

This was epic. After a solid recommendation and watching a you tube video, i headed off for an solo overnighter to Pure point Main range. Super remote, 11kms one way on a ridge that feels like it will never end, all the way to Pure point campsite. With a solid 14kilos on my back off I toddled. I was allowing 5-6 hrs making it my biggest overnighter to date so that enabled me to start early (I hike/like better in the mornings) leaving my car at approx 915am. The first 4 kms is pretty flat fire trail, then you hit the ridge and the first length is mild elevation over another 4 kms. Thats when you reach the corner of the ridge and you can finally see you destination for the first time. From there is only 2.5 kms but do not let that fool you, that last stretch of the ridge is approx 1.5km and its up and down and up and down and I didnt truly see how much it was til I had the vantage point at the look out. To put it in perspective the first 8kms took me 3 hrs. The last 2.5kms (almost 3kms) took me 2 hrs 🥹🤯😵‍💫 but once you finally hit the end of the ridge camp is less than 30 mins away with a creek to fill your water 10 mins before camp. Super proud of this one ! The next day I woke up and did it all again in reverse 🤣 I would not do this in summer, I left camp as early as possible and the fire trail was cooking me on the way out.
