However, many end up in the following situations: ✔ Unconsciously leaning to the inside at the apex (the point of greatest load in the latter half of the turn) ✔ Not putting enough weight on the outside ski So, instead of jumping right in to strengthening your edging, 👉 We started by practicing blage (shifting) without using your edges 👉 We had participants experience "where they need to be in order for both skis to move evenly throughout the turn." Shifting their skis = proof that they're centered. Once they understand this feeling, they'll be able to naturally transition to carving. Before edging, First, establish a centered position.
