Neues von den Urlaubsmachern | Die Nordreportage | NDR Doku

Usedom is seeing a steady increase in overnight stays, with more than 7 million recorded last year alone. Zinnowitz is one of the island's most popular holiday destinations. Traffic jams, stress, and time pressure are practically guaranteed for those working in the tourism industry. More documentaries are available in the ARD Mediathek: https://www.ardmediathek.de/dokus Things are hectic again for Andrea Walter. The trained family therapist has been running a guesthouse in the Baltic Sea resort for two years. She has 23 rooms, three employees, and a whole lot to do. It's arrival and departure day again. That means: cleaning rooms, washing towels, and buying fresh groceries. And while most holidaymakers are still asleep, Enjo Behn and René Keik leave the farm in Zinnowitz with 1,500 liters of water on board. The two waste collectors have five jobs on Usedom today, disposing of grease from hotel kitchens. Maneuvering a truck and hose is often quite a challenge, and ideally, the vacationers shouldn't even notice it. Their job: not for the faint of heart, because things can easily go wrong. Nothing can go wrong for Ingbert Völker and his crew on the beach. As event planners, they ensure the perfect beach wedding. From shabby chic to classic, they make everything possible; the only thing they can't control is the weather. They travel to the beach with a large trailer and tractor, unloading chairs and a party tent and setting everything up. Floral decorations, balloons: all of this has to be arranged in just a few hours. More information: https://www.ndr.de/fernsehen/sendunge... First broadcast: July 20, 2023 #ndr #documentary #usedom
