This is a kalguksu restaurant that's known to line up for customers, whether you live in Nonhyeon-dong or work near Gangnam-gu Office Station. Many celebrities, including Shin Dong-yup, Yoo Se-yoon, Lee Chan-won, and Song Jin-woo, have reportedly visited. I carefully checked for a quiet time and visited. First, they start boiling the homemade noodles as soon as you order, and they're soft and fluffy. It was a great way to make noodles. Oh my. The broth, made with dried pollack head and shrimp, sticks so well to my mouth that I can't help but want to eat it with rice. The broth also had a hint of dried pollack hangover soup. The kimchi was truly delicious, as they only served kimchi as a side dish. Kimchi is definitely a must-have at kalguksu restaurants. The yeolmu bibim guksu (spicy noodles with young radish kimchi) was the perfect summer dish, with its sweet and sour seasoning, well-cooked, springy noodles, and even yeolmu kimchi. The generous portion of kongguksu (cold noodles) made with ground domestic soybeans was also seasoned with salt, which was a nice touch.
