Lovibond Water Testing MD100

This is how we will be using out MD100 at our wastewater treatment plant. 1) Turn on the meter by pressing the [ON/OFF] button. If "CL 8" is not shown on the screen press the [MODE] button until "CL 8" is displayed on the screen. 2) Fill a clean high reading (CL 8) vial with 5 ml of final effluent. Place it in the meter lining up the arow on the vial with the arow on the meter. 3) Press the [ZERO/TEST] button. The screen will flash several times and then display "0.0.0." 4) Remove vile from meter and add one packet of Total Chlorine reagents. Replace cap and shake well. 5) Return vile to meter and press the [ZERO/TEST] button again. This reading should be taken between 3 and 6 minutes after adding the reagents. 6) In a second high reading (CL 8) vial add 5 ml of final effluent. Add 4 drops of acid. Replace cap and shake. 7) Add one packet of Total Chlorine reagents. Replace cap and shake well. 8) Place this vial in the meter and press the [ZERO/TEST] button. 9) Write these two numbers in the log sheet.
