Following February's exhilarating matchup between the U.S. and Canada, we were excited to have 19 yr NHL player and former Nashville Predators captain Mike Fisher. Mike Fisher is a Canadian-American former professional ice hockey centre who played for the Ottawa Senators and Nashville Predators in the National Hockey League. He was drafted by the Senators in the second round, 44th overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. Mike shares his story of growing up as a young player in Ontario, playing multiple sports as a kid, his thoughts on the U.S. hockey team, the NHL allowing players to play at the Winter Olympics, the grit that enabled him to overcome injury after injury, the role that his faith played in his journey as an athlete, raising two boys as a sports dad, he also happens to share with us his favorite song from Country Music Star, Carrie Underwood...who happens to be his wife.
