Today, March 21, the long-awaited "Eastern Exit" from Ufa to the M-5 "Ural" federal highway opened. The Eastern Exit is one of the republic's largest infrastructure projects, making it possible to travel from Ufa to the M-5 "Ural" highway in 10 minutes. Before the Eastern Exit opening ceremony, Asabali Zakavov, General Director of the Bashkir Concession Company, reported to Radiy Khabirov, Head of Bashkortostan, that the facility was ready for opening. The Eastern Exit consists of a 1.2-kilometer-long road tunnel, a 2.7-kilometer-long overpass bridge crossing the Ufa River, and 10 kilometers of expressway. The total length is 13.9 kilometers.
