My First Commander Deck: Avatar Aang

This is the story of my first ever Commander deck: Avatar Aang. When I came back to Magic after many years away, Commander felt completely new to me. Bigger decks, legendary creatures, table politics, strange synergies, and a lot of cards I had never seen before. So when Avatar arrived in Magic, building around Aang felt like the perfect place to start. This deck is not a competitive deck tech. It is the beginning of my Commander journey. In this video, I talk about why I chose Avatar Aang as my first commander, what I wanted the deck to feel like, how the bending mechanics shaped the list, and what I learned while building my first real Commander deck.
