Because- The Beatles (Guitar and Harpsichord Cover)

Lennon's classical-inspired song 'Because' was featured on side-two of the 1969 LP Abbey Road. He wrote it after hearing Yoko Ono playing Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata on the piano Recorded on August 1st, 1969, the backing track consisted of George Martin on an electric harpsichord, John on his Epiphone Casino electric guitar, and Ringo keeping them in time by slapping his knees John's electric guitar was plugged into his 1968 Fender Twin Reverb amplifier. Afterwards, the guitar was affected with some ADT/Tape Flanging and reverb I'm using my 2021 Epiphone Casino USA into a 1974 Fender Pro Reverb amp. The amp is set clean, and I'm using a Strymon Deco pedal to replicate the tape flanging effect. The Deco settings are: Blend knob: just before noon Lag Time knob: just before noon Wobble knob: 10 o'clock Type: sum mode I'm playing the harpsichord part on my M-Audio MIDI keyboard. The plug-in is a VSL Vienna Instruments Pro 'Cembalo' harpsichord, on A2 mode Interesting Notes: John and George Martin play the same notes for the most part. However, there are some notes that are different: 0:28 whenever George Martin plays the Low D note, John plays Gb on the 4th fret of the D-string 0:41 whenever George Martin plays the A note (during this Ab7sus arpeggio), John plays a Gb 0:44 during the Ab arpeggio part of the verses, John plays a low Ab note while George Martin plays an Eb. Then they switch- George Martin plays the low Ab and John plays an Eb Then there are certain moments when John or George Martin break from their own patterns of playing: 0:52 only here, George Martin plays an E note instead of Low A 2:35 John plays two E notes in a row, instead of G then E 2:41 George Martin plays Low D instead of adding the Gb note Special thanks to ‪@12footchain‬ for his help learning John's part to this song!
