/ decakelechi Kelechi Deca is a multi-lingual development journalist with special emphasis on Economy and Human Development for 24 years. In the course of his assignments, he has traveled extensively to 76 countries across five continents. He has full media accreditations to institutions such as The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, the United Nations, The African Union, African Development Bank (AfDB) African Export and Import Bank (Afreximbank) and The Commonwealth. He has co-authored Country Investment Reports for 20 countries in Africa and has worked on different development reports and projects for bilateral and multilateral development agencies. He has also conducted hi level interviews of presidents and top global leaders under the auspices of the African Union Commission (AUC) and the African Development Bank (AfDB). He is a 1995 graduate of Foreign Languages and Literatures from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is presently the Editor-in-Chief of The African Economy magazine, Banking and Finance in Africa and Annual Meetings Daily (an international conference publication). His writes mostly about his hobbies such as Culturenomics, the economic history of the Igbo, Nigeria, and Africa, culture, tradition, travels and cuisine. He loves conservation, as a wildlife lover; he has invested time accompanying teams shooting wildlife documentaries in East and Southern Africa. He is a petrolhead and a Cafefile.
