After days of backlash, many people expected a genuine apology. An acknowledgment that things got out of hand. A moment of reflection. Instead, what they got was something that many viewers are calling an apology in name only. Because while Deme technically apologized, a large portion of her statement was spent attacking the very people who criticized her in the first place. Specially ChibiReviews. And that's where many people believe she completely missed the point. An apology isn't supposed to be: "I'm sorry, but everyone criticizing me is a terrible person." That's not accountability, that's damage control. One of the most frustrating parts of this situation is that the original controversy was entirely avoidable. People accused Deme of hypocrisy after she publicly condemned NSFW depictions of herself while also reposting NSFW depictions of herself. Then when people pointed out the contradiction, she escalated the situation by making deeply personal attacks against ChibiReviews, bringing up one of the most painful periods of his life. That wasn't an accident. That was a choice. And now, instead of fully owning that choice, many viewers feel she's trying to portray herself as the victim while continuing to throw insults at her critics. The phrase that really stands out is when she claims she won't "stoop to their level." But according to her critics, she's the one who turned a public disagreement into an intensely personal attack in the first place. That's why so many people are rejecting this apology. Because accountability means admitting when you were wrong. Not admitting it halfway while simultaneously insulting everyone who expected better from you. In this video, I react to Rev's breakdown, discuss why this apology has been so poorly received, and talk about why genuine accountability online is becoming increasingly rare. Because saying "I'm sorry" doesn't mean much if your actions immediately contradict your words. Let me know what you think in the comments—was this a genuine apology, or just another attempt to shift the blame? rev says desu reaction, deme apology controversy, chibireviews drama analysis, vtuber controversy discussion, online apology backlash, social media accountability debate, internet drama reaction, vtuber twitter controversy, creator apology analysis, online creator drama commentary, rev says desu deme reaction, internet culture discussion, This Apology Backfired, Deme Made It Worse, Nobody Believes Her, The Reactions Are Brutal, You Need To See This, Accountability Matters, This Isn't An Apology, The Drama Continues, Rev Breaks It Down, Let's Talk About It, Rev Says Desu, Deme, ChibiReviews, VTuber drama, apology controversy, social media drama, internet controversy, accountability, creator drama, Twitter drama, Leaflit VTuber, reaction video, commentary, discussion, analysis If you are the owner of the original video and you want this video removed, please contact: [email protected] #gaming #vtuber #reaction
