Swing from Berlin (61) Willy Berking - Hörst du das Meer ? (1943)

One of my favourite bandleaders returns with "Hörst du das Meer?" (Can you hear the sea?). It is an elegant if somewhat melancholic tune.... I guess it is one of his lesser known recordings... It is the flip side to "In Flagranti" which can be found in my channel. The video reflects the title of the song and has a maritime theme.... A 1970 version by the singer Lolita can be seen on YouTube. About the record : Imperial 17 437/ mx. KC-29788 Berlin, 1943 Record in fair condition This record was trasferred using the Ortofon Om78 cartridge and stylus as well as a 78rpm phono preamp in order to get an acceptable 78rpm equalization!
