AK Party Erzincan Member of Parliament Süleyman Karaman inspected the ongoing construction of the Erzincan Livestock Organized Industrial Zone and made statements about the project. Karaman stated that the investment is of great importance for the economic development of Erzincan and the advancement of the livestock sector. He noted that significant steps were taken to reach the current state of the Livestock Organized Industrial Zone, explaining that the Erzincan-Trabzon railway line, initially planned to pass through the project area, was revised with the support of then-Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım, thus removing a major obstacle to the project. Karaman stated that the Livestock Organized Industrial Zone, established on an area of ​​130 hectares, will house 82 modern barns, a capacity of 17,000 head of cattle, a meat processing plant, a cold storage facility, and a biogas plant upon completion. He added that the project will enable livestock farming in Erzincan to become more modern and sustainable. Karaman stated that the investment will also make significant contributions to employment, adding that the project aims to provide direct employment for 370 people and indirect employment for approximately 1,000 people. He said that the facility, which is planned to reach an annual meat production capacity of 6,500 tons, is expected to generate approximately 4.6 billion Turkish Lira in added value for the Erzincan economy. Karaman noted that work on the site is progressing rapidly, and that excavation and filling work has been largely completed during periods when weather conditions permit, and that the physical completion rate of the project has reached 30 percent. He stated that additional retaining walls have been included in the project to ensure its safety and longevity, and that an additional budget was secured as a result of discussions with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Karaman explained that the initial contract price of the project was 232 million Turkish Lira, but with revisions, the estimated cost has increased to 430 million Turkish Lira, bringing the total cost of the entire investment to approximately 800 million Turkish Lira.
