📢 PF ALTERA TESTE DE TIRO PARA VIGILANTES: ENTENDA AS MUDANÇAS!

Federal Police Facilitates Shooting Test Required by Ordinance 16 After two weeks in effect, the BRAZILIAN ASSOCIATION OF SECURITY SECURITY TRAINING AND ADVANCEMENT COURSES (ABCFAV) sent a letter to the Federal Police, expressing concern among the owners of Private Security Professional Training Schools regarding the high likelihood of firearm-related accidents after the implementation of the new assessment methodology. The proposed test consisted of two shots, removing the weapon from the holster within 3 seconds, five times, and achieving a 60% accuracy rate, considering the areas of the target. The Association also emphasized that shooting practice is necessary for professionals who perform armed or unarmed service during their professional activities. However, with the ordinance requiring retraining every two years, the rules do not align with training. In light of this position, the Federal Police amended the ordinance, stating: "Amendment to Ordinance No. 16-CGCSP/DPA/PF, of August 1, 2024, provides that, in the Armament and Shooting course evaluation, the student must now fire rapidly, from the holding position, standing, 5 meters away, with two triggers per command, in 4 seconds - 10 shots, at the silhouette of the humanoid target." Therefore, starting November 19, security guards will have greater peace of mind when conducting shooting tests for retraining.
