Well...That Doesn't Look Right!! Ford 300 Has An Issue...

What started as a simple fuel pump replacement and pushrod cover gasket repair quickly turned into something much bigger! In this video, I dig into an old Ford 300 engine to fix a fuel delivery issue and stop some annoying oil leaks. But once the pushrod covers come off, I discover a bent and broken pushrod hiding inside. With replacement parts nowhere to be found, it's time to get creative and figure out what caused the damage in the first place. After some troubleshooting, I track the problem down to a stuck valve that caused the pushrod failure. Instead of waiting on hard-to-find parts, I work the valve free, get everything moving properly again, and put the engine back together. To finish things off, I clean up and repaint the pushrod covers before reassembly. If you enjoy old engine repairs, budget-friendly fixes, garage troubleshooting, and bringing classic iron back to life, this one's for you!
