UK Prime Ministers: Gordon Brown

In this video I assess the premiership of UK Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, who inherited the office when Tony Blair stood down in 2007. Gordon Brown thought about calling a snap general election within months of taking office and decided against it - a decision he was to regret as he was faced with leading the country through the financial crisis of 2008 and its aftermath. He would go on to lose the 2010 election, which would lead to 14 years of Conservative-led government and another period in the political wilderness for the Labour Party.
