Griffith Observatory Tour - Los Angeles, California

The Griffith Observatory is a highly popular tourist attraction and one of the many things to do in Los Angeles California located ion the southwest facing slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park. Admission is free, although you have to pay for parking. Go figure. Outside, you can get great views of Los Angeles, from downtown, the Hollywood area and on a clear day, the Pacific Ocean. You will get a great view of the Hollywood Sign as well. Be sure to check out the Astronomer's Monument and the James Dean statue too. Inside, you'll be greeted by Foucault's Pendulum, an array of exhibits about the sun, moon and stars, the very popular Tesla Coil, telescopes, meteorites, our solar system, and if you're into shows, there's a theater and a planetarium as well.
