L'abbé Giraudet : un prêtre missionnaire au cœur du STO

1942. While thousands of young Frenchmen were being sent to Germany under the STO (Forced Labor Service), a priest from the Vendée region made a radical choice: to leave his homeland to share their fate. Having previously been rejected by the Paris Foreign Missions Society, Father René Giraudet finally found his calling in the heart of the war, amidst suffering and the Nazi hell. Close to the youth, a bold and visionary priest, he accompanied workers through the most extreme ordeal, at the cost of his own life. This documentary reveals the story of a man of the Church driven by his faith and commitment. Beatified on December 13, 2025, among the 50 martyrs of the STO, René Giraudet remains a powerful witness to a Gospel lived to the ultimate sacrifice. Discover the story of a fearless priest whose motto upon arriving in Berlin was: "Good Friday every day." -------------------------------- A Focale & V 2025 production - Directed by Guillaume Rondeau
