The city flourished between the 1st and 7th centuries AD, and its name in Nahuatl means "Place where the gods were made." The most prominent feature of Teotihuacan is its impressive collection of pyramids and monuments. Some of the highlights include: The Pyramid of the Sun: This is the largest structure in Teotihuacan and one of the largest pyramids in the world. It is believed to have been a site of ceremonial and possibly funerary importance. The Pyramid of the Moon: Located north of the Pyramid of the Sun, this pyramid also has ceremonial significance. It offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire site from its summit. The Avenue of the Dead: This is a main avenue that runs through the city center.
