Precision Tool Renovation: Starrett No 113 Micrometer

I have had a thing for micrometers ever since I first came across them early in my career, I like the smooth operation, the precision, the accuracy and the build quality of the tools. This is the first micrometer I have ever purchased for myself and it cost me all of £0.50 at the car boot sale in 2018. The stall holder had no idea as to what it was and I had to tell him, it is amazing what people don't know. This micrometer was made by L.S. Starrett and the model number is 113, it has a patent date of 30 December 1902. What a beauty! More to watch...
