The importance of the medical examination of military personnel (Medical examination of military personnel) is difficult to overestimate. It does more than simply determine suitability or unsuitability for military service. It also determines whether a person will be called up for military service during mobilization in Ukraine and where they will serve (Assault Forces or rear service). The results of the medical examination may also affect criminal liability for evading mobilization (Article 336 of the Criminal Code). The procedure for the Medical examination is stipulated in Order No. 402 of 2008 of the Ministry of Defense.
