Land they were forced to as part of their conflict with the American government sent them to Oklahoma. However, oil was discovered on their new land and overnight the Osage went from struggling outcasts to unbelievably wealthy. But greed has historically led to tragedy. As the Osage became rich, violence in their community skyrocketed. This story, based on a crime spree in the early 1920s has recently been retold in both a popular book and Hollywood film, "Killers of the Flower Moon." It follows a portion of the murders starting in 1921 and going until 1926. The conspiracy behind the crimes is chilling. I have told the story as a whodunit.
