The Boom 2 Plus from Soundcore is a portable Bluetooth speaker with a whopping 140 watts. These are available when you activate the "Bass Boost" via the button or the app. The technology behind this is called BassUp 2.0. This delivers truly impressive bass without being "rumbled" or overdriven. On the speaker side, there are two 50W subwoofers and two 20W tweeters. Even the preset "SoundCore Signature" audio profile completely impressed me. The frequencies can be adjusted using an EQ via the app, but can also be customized. This allows everyone to define their own sound profile. The hardware is perfectly crafted and is also IPX7 certified. So, nothing stands in the way of outdoor use in sudden rain. Even if the speaker falls into water, it's no problem—it floats. Another highlight are the colored LEDs on the speakers. The colors and "lighting style" can be adjusted both via the button and in the app. The LEDs are also synchronized with the beat. This creates a truly wonderful lighting atmosphere, for example, at a garden party or while camping. TWS and PartyCast 2.0 are also on board. Using TWS, you can connect two speakers together as a stereo pair. With PartyCast 2.0, up to 100 speakers can be linked, so nothing stands in the way of a larger party. The battery lasts for a whopping 20 hours of music, and the speaker can not only be charged via the integrated USB-C port but also includes a power bank function. A plugged-in smartphone is charged with 30W fast charging. All in all, the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus really impressed me!
