Real Steel Griffin Pro Review – They Almost Nailed It

I finally got hands-on with the Real Steel Griffin Pro thanks to the Monthly Knife Club box, and that’s exactly why I love those subscriptions—they put solid knives in front of me I might otherwise overlook. Designed by Carson Huang, the Griffin Pro impresses with great fit and finish, grippy denim micarta, smooth deployment options, and a well-executed 14C28N blade. In hand, it’s comfortable, well-sized, and reasonably lightweight, but the oddly angled pocket clip and overly sensitive secondary lock raise some real concerns. While the price and build quality are strong, that easy-to-bump lock ultimately makes this one a pass for me, even though I’m glad I got the chance to try it.
