Superimposed dead load = 12 kN/m Service Live load at free end = 20 kN Concrete unit weight = 23.5 kN/m3 Concrete, fc’ = 30 MPa Steel, fy = 415 MPa Assume 70 mm concrete cover at the centroid of the tension reinforcement. U = 1.2D + 1.6L 1. Calculate the design moment (Mu), in kN-m. 2. Calculate the design shear force (Vu), in kN. 3.
