The yearly mandatory shooting

Small Vlog about the mandatory rifle shooting program for Swiss citizen in the army reserve. The Swiss army is a pure militia army. Except for the very specialized tasks, the whole army is reliant on conscription. As private rank (if you don't get conscripted to Sergeant or lieutenant), you first do a basic service of about 6 months, when you also get a rifle from the army. After basic service, you go to yearly 3-week repetition services until you served in total about 250 days. After having served your time, you will get assigned to the reserve for about 10 years after your basic service. No uniform for you anymore, but in case of an emergency you can be drafted again. Only after the reserve time, you will be discharged from the army. During all this time, you are responsible for the rifle the army gave you, and you have to do the mandatory shooting practice each year. Only after the reserve time, you get the option to keep your rifle. It won't belong to the army anymore, you will get it basically as a gift. It will be modified to be permanently semi-automatic and thus not an army weapon anymore. Filmed with DJI Pocket 3 (Neewer VND & DJI Mic 2) Fujifilm X-S20 (XF18-120 F4 LM PZ WR & NiSi VND)
