This is the PPR pipe — the darling of modern construction and my recommendations too. But is he really all that? In today's video, I'll show you, in practice, how to do the correct installation, in which situations to use this tuno and at the end, I'll tell you whether or not it's worth using PPR in your work. But what is a PPR pipe? PPR is a state-of-the-art resin that can be used to conduct hot and cold water and has connections made using thermofusion and hot welding. It is considered the most waterproof on the market, but installation requires a qualified professional. The great advantage of PPR is its low thermal conductivity, which maintains the temperature of the transported water for longer, preventing the transmission of heat to the external part of the pipe, which eliminates the need for thermal insulation. Normally, PPR is available in pressure class: PN 20 (20 kgf/cm²) and PN 25 (25 kgf/cm²). Installation Process 1. Clean the thermofusion nozzles with a cloth soaked in alcohol and check that they are correctly adjusted on the equipment plate. 2. It is recommended to cut the tubes with scissors to avoid burrs. 3. Clean the tip of the tube and the inside of the mouthpiece with a cloth soaked in alcohol. 4. Mark the insertion depth on the end of the tube according to the measurement specified in the table, according to the diameter 5. Simultaneously insert the tube and the connection into their respective nozzles, perpendicular to the thermofusion plate. 6. Remove the tube and connection from the thermofusion machine after the minimum time determined for fusion has elapsed, as per the table. 7. Immediately proceed with the union. Stop inserting the tube into the connection when the two visible rings that form depending on the movement of the material are connected. For 3 seconds, you can align the connection or rotate it no more than 15°. Is it Worth Using PPR? Yes! When installed correctly, PPR pipe is a safe, durable and cost-effective solution, especially in hot water systems. But be careful: qualified labor makes all the difference.
