Mazda MX-30 Electric 2022 review - Is this an EV you might actually fall in love with?
| Intro 00:00 Pricing 01:20 Design 03:25 Practicality 04:30 Drivetrain 09:03 Driving range 10:06 Safety 12:03 Ownership 13:02 Driving 13:45 Verdict 18:37 EV buyers: don't be too hasty to dismiss the new Mazda MX-30 Electric. Sure, there's been some pushback because of its high pricing (from $65,490 plus on-road costs) and comparatively low real-world range (200km under the World harmonised Light vehicle Testing Procedure – WLTP). But Mazda says the MX-30's battery is "right sized" to save weight (saving hundreds of kilos), charge substantially faster, be kinder on the planet and be easier and lighter to drive. Factor in impressive comfort, refinement and equipment levels, and it's clear that the MX-30 Electric deserves to be compared to more-expensive EVs like the Mercedes-Benz EQA and Volvo XC40 Recharge. It's definitely worth seeing the bigger picture here.
