CRAPTACULAR! (Indie Horror Games)

It's that time of the year where we download some indie Horror Games and attempt to scare ourselves. Unfortunately it seems like things did not go according to plan...you'll see. So Internet....This video was originally going to be me playing the first game (LATE NIGHT SHOP) in more length and seeing if it would make for an interesting video. Out of all the games I played it seemed to be the one that had the most direction (Which is saying something because it was lacking it a lot) My original intention of this video was to make a horror video about this game...not a "God Damn it not another crappy indie game video"...so...just keep that it mind Anyway, the first game is Late Night Shop and IT DID GIVE ME THE CHILLS at first...but then fell flat on its face as it became more frustrating instead of scary. Now I know it's in pre-alpha, so it has a long wayyyy to go but in its current state its just not scary at all. It's an interesting concept (The idea of Boos in Mario meets I am Legend meets Slenderman) but I think that's all it will ever be. Even if the game was a bit more polished with Atmospherical improvements, I still think its going to fail to scare. It's essentially Slenderman in a shopping mall. I do like the blinking Mechanic though. Sooo since I couldnt make a video out of the first game...I figured lets download another game and hope for the best! This game is called Clown House! Oh boy, a scary game about clowns? Well...Its definitely a game that has clowns in it...I guess? Maybe? Im not even sure. It just looks like three dudes painted their face white, grabbed a knife, and decided to sit around all day waiting to be shot by the magical pistol that never runs out of ammo. So...after shooting everyone...we were done...next game... The Final Horror game is Naninights...and yes...its about as dumb as it sounds. I thought it would be a semi interesting FNAF clone...but its just a bad one. A completely unoriginal, uninspiring game. The makers of FNAF managed to make 4 games in the time it took for you to make this one knock off? Geez. Oh...and your bad guy looks like a mix of a cracked out Aqua Man who had sex with Teemo from League of Legends...and throw in old Greg in there for good measure. Now...did the game do its job? Yea! It actually scared me with a jump scare once or twice...but that was it. With that being said, Why would I play this uninspired knock off when the original FNAF can be bought and played? After playing through these games and realizing none of them were going to scare me, I did the next logical thing...I played the most disturbing game on the market. Plug and Play...I needed my dose of fucked up shit...and it gave it to me. Now, Internet...Maybe you can help me out but it seems like these indie games are a piece of crap. Maybe too much shovelware on steam are hiding the gems. What bothers me is that these games were so easy to find and looked semi interesting at first glance. But they turned out to be anything of the sort. So...can you possibly suggest some interesting Horror Indies games I could play or stream or check out? Layers of Fear looks good. Black Sails, The Long Dark.. These looks like competent titles...its a shame its surrounded by such poo.
