There's one thing that bothers me about my ND Roadster. When controlling with the accelerator, it's difficult to feel the rear tire grip through my "hips." Is this because it's a convertible? Is it a body rigidity issue? It's been bothering me for a while. Looking at used car websites, I often see cars with reinforcement bars installed in the rear trunk area. Certainly, the rear would be more stable. But I wonder... If the rear is rigidly stable, wouldn't the engine's lack of torque become more apparent? Wouldn't the fun be lost in exchange for the ambiguity? [This time's question] So, here's a suggestion. Instead of going in the direction of stiffening with reinforcement, how about dropping the wheels to 15 inches? This would increase the "absorption" of the tires and restore the feeling of contact with the road. This is just my hypothesis.
