Edgar M. Krentz Seminex Interview
The following interview with the late Edgar M. Krentz (1928 - 2021) was recorded on July 17, 2014 at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. The interview was part of a documentary, Seminex, Memories of a Church Divided • Tim Frakes Productions Inc. Seminex Memor... Krentz authored The Historical-Critical Method as well as numerous articles about biblical interpretation. In the 1970's he experienced the split in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod while teaching at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He resigned from Concordia and joined students and other faculty members in their own seminary in exile. In over sixty years of teaching the New Testament as well as ancient Greek and classical archaeology in a variety of schools and venues, he helped to shape the lives of thousands of students.
