Top 10 Pokemon Black/White Music by Hitomi Sato

These "Top 10 Pokemon..." videos are a series of videos dedicated to the talented composers at Game Freak. The main thing I wanted to do with these videos is compare the composers (Who's your favorite one?), see similarities between them, show how much Pokemon music has evolved/improved over the years, and have an easy way to listen to my favorite tunes from these games. Hitomi Sato bounces back from her lackluster work in Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver, and brings us a more cohesive quality of composition for Pokemon Black/White. Her composition style is reminiscent of her first major composing job, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, yet it differs in many ways too. The "Abyssal Ruins" for example, is a style of composition I haven't heard from her before, and honestly sounds more like something Go Ichinose would write for this game. Both Sato and Ichinose went for a different vibe for this soundtrack, and I believe it worked more in Sato's favor. I said before that many of Sato's songs sounded like Ichinose's, but she's certainly created her own style since Diamond/Pearl; which is great and helps bring more variety into the overall sound of Pokemon. 10.
