Hyundai has been making this car since 1991. UNDER THE HOOD: Engine: 2-liter Inline 4-cylinder Transmission: 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC technology Horsepower: 161 hp @ 6,200 rpms MPG City: 25 MPG Highway: 32 Combined Rating: 27 Fuel Tank Capacity: 14 Cost for a full tank: $2.85/gallon x 14 = $39.90 HANDLING: Solid. I had a lot of fun driving the Elantra GT. I drove the Hyundai Accent last week and the Toyota Corolla the week before that...and there's no comparison. The ElantraGT is much smoother, much more responsive, and a lot more fun to drive. ACCELERATION: Great, especially in Sport mode. The engine responsive and quick. And it sounds great when you're accelerating hard. FINAL THOUGHTS: I'm a big fan of this car.
