Sprayer Winterization Failure! [Toro Spraymaster] #fertilizing #weedcontrol

Before winter sets in make sure you properly winterize your spraying and fertilization equipment properly. If you are in an area where it freezes you will want to watch this quick film. This is our 2021 Toro Spraymaster. Last September or October I diluted the spray tanks with water and sprayed out the chemicals. After all the spray was out, I added 2 gallons of rv antifreeze to each tank. I placed buckets under all the spray nozzles and pumped the antifreeze through all the hoses and pumps. The wand handle was obviously left with water in it, because it froze this last winter, as it gets cold in Minnesota. The wand froze, ice expanded, and cracked the handle.
