Inserting a restricted cut-out area or locked area in a 3D macro within EPLAN Pro Panel prevents components from being placed in that specific zone, such as areas required for clearance, maintenance, or later machining. EPLAN Help EPLAN Help Steps to Insert a Restricted Cut-out Area Open the 3D Macro: Open the project containing the 3D macro to which you want to add the restricted area. Activate Restricted Area Tool: Select Insert - Locked area - Restricted placing area. Activate Mounting Surface: Move the cursor over the 3D surface where you want to restrict placement. The surface will automatically highlight in color. Draw the Area: Click to define the corners of the rectangle that represents the restricted placing area. View Restricted Area: The created area can be seen in the layout space navigator under the "Locked areas" hierarchy level for that mounting surface.
