Webinar: Metabolomics between Nutrition, Microbiome and Disease
The metabolomics symposium was originally planned to take place in Jena on 13th of March 2020. Due to restrictions and health concerns (COVID-19) it was brought online on the same day. "You are what you eat!“ Our health and wellbeing is directly connected with the 'what' and 'how' we eat, but how does our food translate into into meaningful chemical messages inside our body? Researchers from Copenhagen, Jena, Leipzig, and Munich report their results on how metabolomics studies led them closer to a solution of this question. Not surprisingly, the microbiome and microbiome diversity play a vital role in our health and our response to healthy food. Therefore, metabolomics as a readout and a predictor of health and wellbeing appears to be particularly suitable.
