Let All Mortal Flesh - Holy Cross Monastery Choir

https://www.holycross.org/pages/new-c... From 02/19/25 - 02/21/25, the monastery choir condutcted a three-day workshop with Rdr. Peter Fekula of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin and Saint Sergius parish in Glen Cove, NY. We continue to work towards preparing our choir for the transition to the new church. The acoustic environment in the new space is very different from our current church and will require changes in our approach to choral singing. We also hope to sing with a larger choir for important feasts, since the new, more spacious, kliros will accommodate more singers. The workshop culminated with our full group singing in the new church. This is a special hymn that is sung only once a year, on Great and Holy Saturday, in place of the Cherubic Hymn at the Divine Liturgy. We give our heartfelt thanks to Rdr. Peter for joining us and working with us, and we look forward to future collaborations as we approach the day when we will being worshipping regularly in the new church!
