Landmarks of the City: Cable Cars
1980s documentary on the history and (then) current operation of San Francisco's famous cable cars. Filmed in 1982 by local cable, just prior to the shutdown and rebuild of the entire cable car system. That's why "Save the Cable Cars!" is the theme at the end. See • They're Back! Rebuilding America's Cable Cars , about the rebuild and the 1984 re-opening of the system.
