It's a family favourite and also my mothers recipe :) It may seem like an odd combination of ingredients but if like me, you like pasta, beef & cheese...you're going to love this as much as we do :) So here's what you'll need if you decide to give it a go - ____________________________________________________________________ Shopping List: 450 (15.8 oz) grams (half a pound) of lean steak which has been minced 5 or 6 sliced mushrooms A large onion chopped into chunks 220 (7.7 oz) grams of macaroni A standard can of cream of tomato soup which is about 400g (14 oz) And finally 150g (5.2 oz) Cheddar cheese to mix in, and another 150g (5.2 oz) Cheddar cheese for the top. ____________________________________________________________________ Let's Cook! Preheat your oven to gas mark 6 (400f 200c) In a large deep pan...add your macaroni and cook until tender..drain and set aside. At the same time as your pasta is cooking, add some oil to a pan and brown your mince. Once it's half way browned, add your onions, cover and cook until translucent. Once your onions are translucent, fold in your mushrooms and cook for a further 5-10 minutes until soft. Add your mince, onions & mushrooms to the large pan containing your drained pasta and stir well. Add the tomato soup and stir in. Add half of the grated cheese and thoroughly stir until everything is well combined. Transfer to an over proof dish, sprinkle the rest of your cheese over the top and cover (foil or lid) Pop it in the oven for around 30-35 minutes.
