RC Adventure 51: MN82T LC79

I had been looking at the MN82 from MN Models for a fewm onths now and read a lot of great reviews - mainly to do with how cheap they were so decided to jump on board and I purchased the MN82T LC79 version. Initial thoughts - fantastic looking truck. Unfortunately I think that's where the positives end. Servo is extremely slow, turning circle not great, suspension is overly stiff (giving little to no flex), tyres are super hard and the low gear appears relatively useless. With all that in mind, I was not expecting much from the rig on my most recent visit to Voodoo Point. I didn't push it hard and only drove on terrain I thought it suited and surprisingly, I enjoyed it. It looks fantastic driving slowly over basic obstacles and seemed to only get hung up on the diffs and rear leaf spring mounts. It drove relatively well once I got used to the truck and it's limitations. I have already ordered some new wheels and tyres and I think it will dramatically improve it's driveability. There are a million other upgrades available, but I think maybe the point of the rig is to keep it cheap. So, I hope you enjoy my first outing with the MN82T - I'm keen to see how it evolved in the future. Hope you enjoy some relaxing RC ASMR!
