Your income isn't very high: R$ 800 reais, which, according to IBGE, was the average monthly income of a worker at that time—above the minimum wage, by the way, which was R$ 300. Looking at the prices of the products, you realize that only R$ 100 is enough to buy everything you need; that is, a little over 12% of your income. With that amount, you could buy a 2-liter soda, a 500g tub of margarine, 5kg of rice, half a kilo of coffee, a 900ml can of oil, and for the weekend, a pack of beers, plus, of course, the most desired item: five kilos of picanha, the meat that every Brazilian loves. Today, this purchase costs much more. But why did this happen? And how does the end of the middle class explain this phenomenon? That's what I'll explain in today's video. 📩 Business contact: [email protected] 📸 Instagram: @osamuelbaum 🙏🏻 Want to support my work with a donation?
